Day 1 | Amman | Hotel: Four Seasons Amman

Land in the capital Amman which is one of oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2| Amman |Hotel: Four Seasons Amman

Experience modern Jordan and spend the day exploring the capital with a walking tour of Amman. The evening will be spent in a local house in one of Jordan’s oldest neighbourhoods; Weidbeh.  You will gain insight into the lives of Jordanians in the best possible setting and spend the evening learning to cook like a local.

Day 3| Jerash & Ajloun |Hotel Four Seasons Amman

North of Amman is the town of Jerash, famous for their amazing Roman ruins which date back more than 6,500 years.  Spend the day exploring the stunning temples and amphitheaters then its off to Ajloun Castle: (Qal’at Ar-Rabad) which was built by one of Saladin’s generals in 1184 AD

Day 4 | Mount Nebo , Madaba & Shobak| Hotel: Movenpick Petra

Drive to visit Mount Nebo; one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses was buried. From there you will visit Saint George Church: The Madaba Mosaic Map covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, which is located northwest of the city center where you will enjoy a home cooked meal.  Then it’s off to visit Shobak Castle, perched on the side of a mountain with a grand sweep of fruit trees below. The evening will be spent in Petra.

Day 5 | Petra| Hotel: Movenpick Petra

Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for this amazing place, you will spend the day exploring one of the world’s most treasured Unesco Heritage Sites. The evening will be spent discovering the regional cuisine of the Levant at Petra’s Kitchen. This relaxed, informal atmosphere is where you’ll gather to prepare an evening meal, working alongside local women under the supervision of a local chef.

Day 6 | Wadi Rum Desert| Hotel: Kempinski Dead Sea

Head into the Wadi Rum and experience a part of the vast landscape, virtually untouched by humanity with a desert Jeep tour. From there you will proceed to the Dead see for evening.

Day 7 | Dead Sea| Hotel: Kempinski Dead Sea

A day at leisure and a chance to take advantage of the Dead Sea’s health properties. Spend time enjoying the natural buoyancy of the Dead Sea.

Day 8 | Depart

Picked up from the hotel and transferred to Amman International Airport for your onward flight TBA

When is the best time to go

The best months to visit Jordan are mid-February to mid-May and October through November.

passport/visa requirements

UK passport holders will require a visa before travelling to Jordan and require a minimum of 6 months validity on your from the time of return. Visas are included in the package. You can find further information about how to apply and what visa you require here

Hot days require light, breathable clothing while the evenings are considarbly cooler and need layers. Price includes flights from the UK and internal flights, accommodation, private transfers and a selection of handpicked experiences and meals.
