Get soaked white water rafting on the Hvítá River, glide across the Langjökull glacier atop a snowmobile, ride an 8×8 monster truck to the ice tunnels to enter Europe’s second largest ice cap and explore the lava fields and black sand beach on horseback. Essential Information

when is the best time to go

White Water Rafting season is between May and September. The Northern Lights is best from mid-September to mid-April and whale watching is year round. Midnight sun and warmer temperatures make summer the best season to visit Iceland.

passport/visa requirements

British citizens do not require a visa for stays for up to 3 months. Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay.

need to know

Pack for an active holiday, appropriate footwear and clothing. Jackets and jumpers are advised for outdoor and evening activities. Waterproof jackets are also recommended for any water based activity.
