    1

    Arrive in Delhi | Hotel: The Imperial

    Land in the capital of India Delhi, while driving through the city you will see ruins from previous capitals, the earliest dating back to the 12th century. Rest of the day at leisure.

    Delhi | Hotel: The Imperial

    Spend the morning exploring the Old City steeped in the culture, then it’s a short drive to Khan Market for Kebab lunch at Khan Chacha, famous across India. The afternoon will be spent at the historic Hauz Khas; a hub of wonderful shops, art galleries and quaint unexpected eateries. The evening will be spent with food expert Ms. Anoothi Vishal at the Spice Route restaurant.

    Delhi | Hotel: The Imperial

    The morning you will start at the Humayun’s Tomb; one of the earliest examples of a Mughal Garden Tomb, then you will visit the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib; the temple of the Sikhs where you will assist in the community kitchen helping rolling chapattis or serving dhal! During the evening you will be taken to the lesser known area of Nizammudin Basti with a resident guide then dinner at the Indian Accent.

    Delhi – Amritsar | Hotel: Taj Swarna

    After breakfast you will depart for Amritsar, once landed you will depart for a tour of the Golden Temple – the holiest place for the followers of the Sikh religion. You can explore and enjoy lunch with the local, then the rest of afternoon is at leisure. In evening you will drive to the border of Indian and Pakistan to watch lowering of the flags at sunset followed by dinner at a local restaurant Crystal Chowk.

    In Amritsar | Hotel: Taj Swarna

    Spend the day exploring the famous food lanes of the city, from sweet breads to savoury dishes, you will also get a chance go behind the scene and witness the cooks at work preparing the Naan’s and other mouth-watering dishes. End the day’s tour at Kesar da Dhaba, one of the oldest Dhabas (1916) where the lentil are cooked and served after being stirred in Desi Ghee (countryside clarified butter) for 12 hours.

    Amritsar – Delhi – Agra | Hotel: ITC Mughal

    Early morning you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for Delhi and it’s a drive to Agar. Late afternoon you will visit the Taj Mahal till sunset. Later in the evening you will meet with our resident expert of Agra, who will lead you on a specially curated tour of Agra in the lights – where you will see some lesser known sites, dinner will be at the hotel or at the Peshawari Restaurant at ITC Mughal hotel famous for barbecue mughlai cuisine infused with local flavors of Agra.

    Agra – Jaipur | Hotel: Raj Mahal Palace

    Early morning you will visit the Taj Mahal when it is at least crowded followed by breakfast and a trip the Agra Fort. Then it’s off Jaipur, en route you will also visit Fatehpur sikri, a deserted red sandstone Mughal city. Once you arrive at Raj Mahal Palace you will spend the evening enjoy a cooking demo with the chef followed by a Thali dinner at the hotel.

    Jaipur | Hotel: Raj Mahal Palace

    Drive a short distance north to Amber, the ancient capital that proceeds Jaipur originally built in the 11th century AD. Explore the maze of passage’s, corridors, pavilions, ornamental gardens and ramparts. Enjoy lunch today is at 1135 AD Restaurant at the Amber Fort, followed by exploring the sprawling City Palace. Later enjoy a short walk through the wonderful markets and the colourful bazaars of Jaipur then it’s onto shop no. 150 -known only by its number, this well-known little shop is a Jaipur’s ideal snack joint. Enjoy a leisurely dinner at the hotel.

    Jaipur – Shahpura Bagh| Hotel: Shahpura Bagh

    Depart from Raj Mahal Palace and drive 5.5 hours to the heartland of rural Rajasthan; Shahpura enjoying a picnic en route. Shahpura lies at the heart of a network of 250 lakes, which makes it a sanctuary for bird life and a lush sight for sore eyes accustomed to the Rajasthan desert. Spend the rest of the at your leisure.

    Shahpura Bagh| Hotel: Shahpura Bagh

    Today you will enjoy a hands-on cooking class, based on open wood/charcoal fire stoves-style cooking typical of the local villagers who cook at home in terracotta pots, you will savour some royal game dishes using chicken and lamb. Then the afternoon will be time to explore the local village, take bicycles out to the old fort, wander around the lakes or relax in the gardens and hear wonderful stories of the family history affectionately told by the current family patriarch.

    Shahpura Bagh – Udaipur | Hotel: Taj Lake Palace

    Today you will drive to Udaipur, en-route you will stop at the richly marbled and carved temples at Ranakpur. Later you will have lunch at Mountbatten Lodge before continuing to Udaipur, part of the route travels across the Aravalli Hills, the oldest mountain range in the world. After a quick change enjoy a private boat cruise on Lake Pichola, visiting Jagmandir Isl, then enjoy dinner at the hotel on the Roof Top restaurant at The Lake Palace Hotel Bhai

    Udaipur | Hotel: Taj Lake Palace

    After the breakfast you will visit the City Palace then you will enjoy a guided walking tour through the winding lanes of the old city. Lunch will organized at Chef Vimal’s Udaipuri Restaurant followed by an evening a local noble family’s home and enjoy a cooking demonstration. The evening will start with a visit to a local market to source your ingredients then you will enjoy hands-on cooking under the guidance of your host, followed by dinner with the family.

    Udaipur – Mumbai | Hotel: Taj Mahal Palace

    Transfer to Mumbai and spend the day at leisure. Attentively you can participate in a specially curated culinary experience with a local food connoisseur Ms. Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal, at her exclusive food studio. A team of food-loving instructors will make sure you experience your food…and not just cook it! You will have dinner at the studio then drive back to the hotel after dinner.

    Mumbai | Hotel: Taj Mahal Palace

    Today you visit the historic Kala Ghoda Area, the heart of the Fort Mumbai area. A feast of architecture ranging from Gothic to art deco, the lively area is a must to explore on foot; from street vendors to cafes, galleries, local cricket matches and food stalls. Then it’s off Churchgate Station to watch a very typical Mumbai trade the Dabbawallahs. In the afternoon you visit at Dharavi, followed by an evening exploring the Kala Ghoda area known for its food scene.
